Individual clients can now open a basic payment account.
What is a basic payment account?
The basic payment account is a limited type of current account available only for individual clients who do not have another account in any bank operating in Kosovo.
Additional services
Clients can be provided with this account without being conditioned to purchase additional services. Likewise, any client who is a holder of a basic payment account can request additional banking services.
Limitations
Clients with a basic payment account cannot have a loan, overdraft, or any other credit product that is not included in the basic payment account package.
Account opening process
The bank is obligated to open the basic payment account or to refuse the application of an individual client within ten business days from the date of receiving the complete application.
Services offered in the basic payment account package
The maintenance fee for this account is determined according to the regulation on access to basic payment accounts.
