Payment account with basic services package
Payment account with basic services is a limited type of current account that is available only to individual clients (that are not legal entities) and it includes some services as specified below and in the Bank's pricelist. Users of this account cannot have a payment account with basic services in any other banking institution in the Republic of Kosovo.
Clients can be provided with this account without being conditioned to the purchase of additional services. Also, each client who is a user of the payment account with basic services can be provided with additional products or keep them if they are already activated and, which are out of the package, and pay the bank commissions according to the published pricelist.
Clients with payment accounts with basic services cannot have a loan, overdraft, or any other credit product that the bank offers. Also, clients who already have credit products cannot have the payment account with basic services package.
The Bank is obliged to open a payment account with basic services or to reject an individual client's application for such an account, in each case without delay and no later than 10 working days after the complete receipt of application.
The services offered in the payment account with basic services package are:
- Current account maintenance
- E-Banking maintenance
- ATM deposits
- Cash counter deposits
- ATM withdrawals
- Cash counter withdrawals
- E-commerce/online card payments
- POS card payments
- ATM transfers
- Branch or e-banking transfers (TEB-TEB)
- Closing the basic services account
- Delivery of the account balance (by e-mail or in-person in the branch once a month)
- Automatic order (TEB-TEB)
The fee value for maintaining this account is determined according to the Regulation on Access to Payment Accounts with Basic Services of the Central Bank of Kosovo, and it cannot be higher than 0.12% of the average net monthly salary in the Republic of Kosovo recently published by the Statistics Agency of Kosovo. Whereas all the services listed above will be offered free of charge from 01.01.2024, for the client categories who belong to the group of vulnerable clients who benefit from the rights provided by the legislation that regulates pensions and social assistance in the Republic of Kosovo, confirmed by the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers (or the successor Ministry).
